There’s no need to worry about changes in pricing. The rounding occurs at the end of the transaction, after items are totaled and applicable tax is added. Over time, as fewer pennies circulate, some cash transaction totals may round to the nearest nickel – similar to what other countries have done successfully. Digital and card payments will support exact amounts.
