How to spot common scams.

Scams are becoming increasingly sophisticated, making it essential to stay alert and informed. By recognizing the warning signs of common scams, you can protect yourself and your personal information from falling into the wrong hands.

Phishing Emails and Texts
Scammers send fake emails or texts that look like they’re from your bank, asking you to “confirm your account” or “reset your password.” Often, these messages contain links to phony websites designed to capture your information.

Urgent Calls with Threats or Promises
Fraudsters may impersonate your bank on a phone call, saying your account will be closed unless you act immediately, or that you’ve won a prize. If it sounds too urgent or too good to be true, it’s likely a scam..

Look-Alike Websites and Fake Phone Numbers
Some scams involve creating fake websites that mimic your bank’s website or using phone numbers that look like official bank lines. Always verify you’re on the correct website or call the official customer service number listed on the bank’s website.

How to report fraud.

Fraud happens – and there’s absolutely no reason to be embarrassed about it. Here’s what to do after being scammed.

  • Immediately contact Impressia Bank’s Customer Service Center.
  • Contact the local law enforcement agency in your town. If you are not sure how, we will assist you.
  • File a complaint with the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3).
